Does Niche sell direct?
Niche kitchen & bath products are only available through fine
design showrooms throughout the U.S.  Please call for
locations.

Who crafts Niche's products?
Our products are crafted by artisan family "talleres" throughout
Mexico.  We only work with one "taller", thus ensuring quality &
consistency, as well as, quick lead-times for special orders.

What is a "Patina"?
The "patina" of an item is the "color" it shows.  We offer several
finishes (polished, lavado & natural) and three patinas (Negro,
Obscuro & Claro).

Can I damage the patina?
Although the patina can be damaged (highly acidic cleaners
& abrasive cleaners, notably), a damaged area will repatina
leaving little to no sign of the damage...this is referred to as the
"living finish".

Is copper suitable for the rigors of daily cleaning and prep
duties?
Copper is quickly becoming the desired element for kitchen
products due both to its uncompromising beauty & user-ability.
Further, at 16 guage, 48 oz. copper, it will outlast all stainless
steel sinks in it's class.

Is copper safe for kitchen use?
Yes, copper is safe for kitchen use and, in fact, more
desireable than any other metal for one simple reason:  The
microscopic fissures on the surface of copper are minute,
hence,
bacteria that can live for days/weeks on stainless steel
can only survive hours on copper.

What gauge and purity of copper are Niche sinks?
Niche sinks are made of both 16 & 18 gauge, 48 oz. copper
depending on their use.  As a rule, kitchen and prep sinks are
16 guage and bathroom sinks are 18 gauge.
Many suppliers tout their sinks to be 100% pure copper - a little
white lie for the sake of marketing.  The truth is that copper in
the form of articles is generally between 98% & 99% copper,
the remaining being other ores associated with the extraction
& processing processes.
How are Niche copper sinks welded?
This is a very important point!  Many sinks are welded using
solder; this leads to greyish joints that look horrible.  But the
best copper sinks, ours, are argon gas copper welded.  This
means that the joint is the same color, indeed, the same metal
as the rest of the sink...beautiful & strong!

Why should I buy a Niche Sink instead of another?
Our products are 100% quality and we back them with a
1-year, unconditional warranty!  No other supplier offers the
same.

In purchasing a stone sink, how do I know what color it will be?
Although many of our stones tend to be uniform in nature,
some are not.  In such cases, stores can look to our Stone Sink
Stock link to see all sinks available.  Further, if a sink arrives
and is not desired, it can be returned under our warrantly.
